It came to LHRC’s attention that at least 10 children in Njombe region were killed in the month of January 2019. It was reported that the victims are found dead with their bodies parts chopped.
Reports of these killings circulated in the media and social media, with mounting fear that they could escalate threatening the right to life and personal security. In response, LHRC deployed a team to conduct on a fact-finding mission to ascertain the truth behind the reports.
